Vicks Plant

The Vicks plant (Plectranthus tomentosa), also known as Cuban oregano or succulent coleus, is a perennial herb known for its aromatic leaves, reminiscent of Vicks VapoRub. Native to Southern and Eastern Africa, this plant features thick, fleshy, ovate leaves covered with fine hairs, giving them a soft, velvety texture. 

The Vicks plant thrives in well-drained soil and prefers bright, indirect sunlight, making it a popular choice for a houseplant. It is also grown outdoors in warm climates. Besides its ornamental value, the plant is sometimes used in traditional remedies for its soothing properties, particularly for respiratory issues. The Vicks plant's scent repels mosquitoes and attracts bees and butterflies.
