Society Garlic

Society garlic (Tulaghia violacea) is a perennial plant belonging to the Amaryllidaceae family. It is prized for its attractive, clump forming growth habit and fragrant, lavender-pink flowers that bloom from late spring to fall.  Society garlic is named for its garlic-like scent that makes it an excellent companion plant, as the scent can deter pests such as aphids and deer. It is also used in culinary applications as the flowers and leaves are edible.

Cultivation: Society garlic is drought tolerant once established and requires minimal maintenance. It is resistant to pests and diseases.
